MUSIC SAMPLES:
Based upon a speech by Paul Harvey and featuring the music of Nancy Griffith, Donald Grantham's Southern Harmony, and Simple Gifts, And on the 8th Day... captures the grit and spirit of the American Farmer from daybreak through a long day in the fields. The show begins with the introspective Trouble in these Fields from the Dustbowl Symphony as the sun rises over the farm. Crops are planted and animals cared for through settings of Southern Harmony. Finally, the familiar tune of Simple Gifts closes the day with a quilting party.
